Summer Solstice Development League

Summer Solstice is a development soccer league Girls & Boys U6 - U18.
- League Fee $175 per team for 8 game guarantee
- Entry deadline will be June 14th, 2010
- Teams play 2 games per night
- Game duration will be 29 minutes
- Game schedules released weekly based on results
- Teams can black out one date
- Games will begin no earlier than 5:30pm at both locations
- There are no standings or awards
- Teams may move up or down age groups based on results
- League focus is to learn, play and develop an understanding of the 3v3 game
- Age groups may be combined based on participation
- Teams can elect to play 8 games exclusively at Franke Fields or Polo Fields
- Teams have a third option of 4 games at each complex
- Field size is 40 yds x 30 yds for u9 - u18, 30 yds x 20 yds for u6 - u8
- Max roster size will be 6 players
- All players must have a current MYSA or KSYSA card with appropriate paperwork
- Teams can guest play up to 2 players per week with MYSA or KSYSA card with appropriate paperwork
- Rainouts will be pushed to week six or Sunday evening of the following week based on field availability
GSI has established the following procedure regarding tournament hotel reservations:
1. A condition of acceptance requires every “out of town” team to utilize one of the sanctioned hotels and book the rooms through Global Connections Inc. (GCI) using their online request system at www.GCITeamTravel.com. Global Connections has worked closely with the local hotels and has secured the best rates possible for this event. Outstanding properties will be available at affordable prices. Various options will also be available to satisfy team needs and all budgetary considerations.
2. A team failing to utilize Global Connections will not be permitted to participate in the tournament.
3. ALL teams traveling to participate in the tournament can designate a team representative to make the entire team’s request, or team members may do their own individually online at www.GCITeamTravel.com. GCI has secured tournament room blocks at reduced rates from a wide range of hotels to suit the needs of all participating teams. A list of the hotels can be found online for this specific tournament.
Reserving is easy. Simply log on to www.GCITeamTravel.com, select the tournament you’d like to reserve rooms for and follow the prompts to make your selection and room request.
