Residential & Commuter Camp
Rockhurst Residential/Commuter Camp June 2nd-6th, 2014
Camp Hotline Number: (913) 905-5700
This is our ever popular camp that provides options for campers to stay overnight at the dorms or attend the camp as daily commuters. This camp ALWAYS sells out early with over 260 campers registering by March of each year. As a result we strongly encourage campers to register early.
Emphasis is placed on character development, leadership and camaraderie as well as soccer skill/tactical development. The camp provides the players with top quality coaching from coaches who have worked this camp for many years. We work hard to balance the camp experience between having a great time and working awfully hard during each sessions.
Guest speakers will be on board to add to the experience. This summer we will enjoy appearances from the new FC Kansas City players.
The camp is also seen as the ideal preparation for the up-coming try-out season.

2011 CAMP FEEDBACK
'Love the FB updates! BTW, ******* is having such a good time this year. He loves it every time, but this year is special somehow. Not sure why. As a family we have had a really hard six months and **** has needed a confidence boost. The camp is giving him that this week. Thank you so much. He is so happy right now and I know it is because of all of you".
"Thanks. My kids have been coming home sooooo happy. You obviously run a great program and combine that with talented and fun people. Thx. Again."
"Our ****** is LOVING camp --- thanks so much. We know she was anxious at first as she’s never been to a camp like this before"
"My son, *******, is having a BLAST! This is quite a feat - to keep this kid so excited! Thank you!."
"Even though our son plays for ******* (rival club) he has always enjoyed your residential camp. Do you know the dates for this upcoming summer? I am booking other camps but want to make sure I leave the dates open for your camp".
2010 CAMP FEEDBACK
'Thank you so much for everthing this week. ******* and ***** (Names deleted for privacy reasons) had a great camp, just like last year. It was fantastic that you brought Ryan Raybould to speak to the kids and families".
"My son is having a wonderful time at camp. He has attended several other soccer camps but this is by far his favorite. He feels he is actually growing and benefitting from the instruction given, loves all of the coaches and greatly respects you" First, I want to thank you for having a wonderful camp last week at Rockhurst. It was our first experience with it, and our daughter ****** (name deleted for privacy reasons), had a wonderful time. She was part of "Cameroon." She learned a lot and told us every day on the commute that she wants to come back again next year. So, that is one of our priorities for next summer. She loved the evening scrimmages, the coaching during the day, the teasing from the coaches – especially all the challenges, and the "stories" from the guest speakers. We just wanted to thank you for a wonderful week of camp! Our son, ******* (name deleted for privacy reasons), truly enjoyed every moment of it! Most of all, I want to thank you for all the positive messages sent about life, academics, and setting goals for the future. Will talked about all of the great role models that were there this week!
Thank you for caring so much about our youth (our future)!
Children from Operation Breakthrough will be attending The Huw Williams Soccer Camps again this summer. Operation Breakthrough is a Kansas City organization that is dedicated to serving our city's children that are in poverty.
